Ms. Kiernan was admitted to Signature at Colonial after a hospital stay where she had altered mental status changes and lower extremity weakness. Prior to her admission, Ms. Kiernan was living at home with her husband and performing activities of daily living independently. When she arrived at the facility for rehabilitation, she had extreme lower extremity weakness that caused her to become fatigued easily with activity and she needed constant assistance.

She is now returning to the community, able to move long distances with no fatigue and minimal supervision. She will now be able to safely walk through her home and return to her previous level of independence. She is very much looking forward to returning home with her husband and getting back into the swing of day-to-day living and chores.

“I really enjoyed my stay at Colonial and everyone always made it feel like home,” Ms. Kiernan said.

We wish you the best of luck, Ms. Kiernan, and a happy and healthy new year!
